I'm reading Vampires!

OK, not technically reading-I can understand by looking at the pictures, and I use my kana sheet and mini kanji dictionary whenever I find some word bubble that I'd like to read. I havn't got very far yet, ; Makube Rockuro has just made his first appearence. Chippei is so cute! I laughed at the Shotaro Ishinomori gag, despite not really getting it.. Somehow, I found it kinda funny, ;

Since there is no furigana, I have some trouble reading it. But there is a good deal in the mini-dictionary, so I can just barely get by!

I bought the book "second-hand" but it's barely been used at all! Was the person who owned it last the same as me(I take extra special care while reading so my books won't even look used), or do people in Japan just have more general respect for books? That wouldn't suprise me.. Most books I own second-hand are very worn. I got the Akita Bunko edition, though I wanted the Kodansha edition.. ; The Kodansha covers look a little more embellished and kiddy. But, this is what's avadible, so I'm happy, ^W^ Maybe the Melmo book will be Kodansha? I hope so! ^0^

Oh, and I missed school today... I only have two lesson on fridays, and I missed both, _ _;; I woke up too late, and I couldn't be driven in since our car could break down any minute.. It's on it's last legs. Ah well, it was practically ancient when we bought it, so I guess it's going to a better place now.
